Doesn't matter if anyone is reading this but I'm going to start making this my personal mini-journal. Wow where to start since my last entry? I'm working for Battelle and AT&T/Cingular as of right now. I'm a the lead network Engineer for Battelle working with a wide range of hardware and software where I'm reading about 2 books per week to catch up with all the different shit I'm currently doing. It ranges from PeopleSoft which was originally their own company but it was bought by Oracle and that leads to me studying SAP because occasionally I get leased out as an outside consultant, and they want me to be Novell certified. When I'm back at the office, I play with iSeries servers, Blades, and Xeons so now you know I have a rats nest to deal with because at Battelle there are multiple departments and they use various servers and DBMS languages due to the fact that is not the most cost effective to integrate everything onto the same platform (Very fucking expensive to replace each and every other piece to make it uniform). So now I need to be proficient in J2EE (Java), SQL(for generating quaries, tables, editing data, storage, etc),  AJAX which is a mix of Java and XML, and on top of that I want to get certified in various certification programs which would boast my salary. The tests I'm taking a shot at are CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and soon to be CCNP (Cisco Certified Professional) and my grand dream would be to be CCIE certified (note that there are only about 25000 in the world or maybe less and way Overkill for my age.) I'm already MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certified and never will I put myself thought such horried pain to study a rediculous amout of information again.  For AT&T/Cingular which is my weekend job I work with 2Wire systems in particular their HMI line products which includes the 2Wire Gateway and HomeZone High Definition DVR systems but my current focus is information via optics. Too bad I don't have all the certification and training yet but I'm really loving all the features fiber optics have.........

On the personal side Sam and I are not really talking to each other that much. I know it's hard to believe for those of you who knows a bit about my personal life. Currently I'm dating a love young lady name Jenny Wang and yes that is her real name. She is a pharm major soon to be a legal drug dealer. The relationship is still pretty new and I don't want to make any statements as of right now, but I would love to see where this relationship leads.

Updates

Well I no longer work for Chemical Abstracts, but that is a great relief. Lets see since my last entry I've been working at a different company where I have a lot more freedom to work at my fast pace coding and encryption of 1s and 0s. I've been traveling a lot the past couple of months and I must say that it's been a great relief to get out of Columbus and be blessed with a change of scenery. On a personal note Sam and I are no longer boyfriend/girlfriend and now we just occasionally chat on the phone if that. I've dated, but I guess I'm not ready to dive back into the pool just yet. My most recent trip was out to Boston, Mass with my old old old High school brother Jacob just to get away from everything. I got to hang out and tour different part of Mass. with some of our old high school buddies that currently resides on the East coast, and damn it was so awesome to see the old faces I use to chill with on a daily basis. Most of the old crew are doing fine, Jacob is getting married soon, Phung is engaged to be married, Joe is married, Dr. Alex Kim is finally done with Med school from Princeton, and Derek is in his 2nd year at Harvard. Yo Derek you owe me 600 bucks from our poker game if you are reading this. LOLZ. I'm just messin, you don't have to pay me back bro. These days I've been brought onto my current position at work to write an algorithm that deals with computers, electrical currents and identification system of these currents that emits an unique pattern, and that is all I can type about it due to signing a lot of paper work that doesn't permit me to disclose too much about my on going project on paper or computer generated because technically everything belongs to the company even my knowledge and freedom of speech.

What a crazy week.

Well it's been another crazy ass weekend, but not in Columbus. My company sent me off to Seattle along with my co-worker Helen and Ammit for a PERL conference and while we were there I was the lucky on who was an outside consultant so I had the opportunity get out a boring ass conference and actually do something. Friday night wasn't much special other than going out drinking for a little bit and we didn't get crazy. Sat was the crazy night and I meant CRAZY. Work started at 5:30 in the morning, worked our asses off just straight programming, team huddles, meetings, a small break for coffee. When we got off work I asked the local "office party animal" where a good place would be to drink and have fun. He took us to a hot ass club right off the waterfront and damn it was jumpin. Mark said he can drink and was talking a lot of shit, so we hit the bars and loser pays. Both placed our cards on the table and we each asked the bartender for a bottle of Jack Daniels and started off with two shots to warm us up. Motherfucker kept talking shit saying 'is that what you ohio farmers have to offer? " I took that as a challenge and asked you know what a buckeye shot is? It's well known within my fraternity. I then grabbed two huge ass glasses and poured two "buckeye shots" and said ok this is what Ohio is about, drink it and you might earn my respect. Both of us took the shot and I was ready for round two but Mark's face turned red as an apple, tried to get up but fell on his ass and I laughed my ass off. By that time I was already pissed drunk so I decided to go to the dance floor and grind up on a couple of chicks I didn't know, talked to a pretty cute asian chick, bought her a couple of drinks, my memory is a bit blury from that night but somehow I ended up making out with my co-worker Helen in the guys bathroom while there are guys in there. When the club let out my co-workers went back to the hotel and I got in a taxi and went to get bubble tea with Ming Wei, stumbled back to my hotel room to grab a couple hours of sleep before my early flight back to Columbus.

Crazy ass weekend.

Yo Sup....been a crazy ass weekend for me, but for sure it was fun and I wouldn't have missed a single moment of it. Friday was a night of bonding. I got to see a lot of brothers that I haven't seen in a year, and it was a pleasure to see them again. Kevin, Bart, Eric, Steve, Aaron, the Florida brothers, Ladies of KPL, DphiL, APhiG, and anyone that I have missed thanks for the love and the time taken from you busy lives to drop down and spend some time with the Mu Chapter of Pi Delta Psi.
Friday --> Got off work around 7:30, went home to change, went over to the house and chilled with my brothers from Florida, Kevin droped by with Eric who both flew in from Cali, Jason showed up later after he got nice and tipsy at the bar. Glad to see all these old faces. Partied, chilled, and drank my ass off until 6:30 in the morning. I sobered up a bit, went home to catch a shower.
Sat --> after I got done with my shower, I went to my appointment at Kenneth Day Spa to get my hair cut and a nice massage to recover from a long time of partying. Got dressed and drove over to Asian Festival to hook up with my friend Fenny and some of her friends that went to Columbus Academy with her. I went home to change into my new Polo Suit I bought just for this banquet and arrived early to greet all of my brothers and honored guests of the banquet. Two word to describe to Banquet and that has to be Drunken Madness........we started out slow with some nice champaign just easing into the flow, but we made the mistake of going to the liquor store to reload MAJOR....that must have been over $2000 worth of liquor in the room just flowing. Every other line I heard was, " NEO, get the fuck over here and drink." "Drink this bitch, I haven't seen your ass in forever" "Yo I'm an old motherfucker, you gotta drink with me. When my bottle ran out I went next door and bought 3 more bottles of Jack Daniels along with a case of Hinny and they were gone in a matter of 30 mins. I must sincerly apologize to anyone who I forced to drink with me or pulled the alumus card, but hey yo all rules out the door this weekend. Thank god to the bro who was smart enough to have an alternative mode of transportation aka the Party bus. The alumi proudly donated a bottle of Johnny Walker blue lable and before the drink my Big brother Dr. Aaron Chang gave the speach of the centry droping all those F-bombs.

Zetas......Glad to see you guys again and mad love my pledge brothers.

Old school with new school......Baron I can't believe you tried to run away when I offered you a small shot aka Buckeye Shot.

Hang aka HALT pouring the happy juice....one love, one strong, we are the brothers of Pi Delta Psi. Represent.

My great grand big Kevin Chiu aka Kryllin aka Founding father #1......Congrats on graduating from law school and good luck on the bar exam Kev. Great seeing this old guy again and glad to take a shot with you Kryllin, hope to see you around next year.

A gift from all the alumni of the Mu Chapter. a $200+ bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Lable baby.

Late Sat evening--> After I got done with the drunken frenzy, I sobered up a bit, got home to change into my clubbin gear. Round 2 of drinking. The night started out with a $1000 bar tab that evaporated in a heartbeat, bro begain to buy more and more drinks so the old folkes dropped a bit more. Ted put $500 on his card, I left the club with $28 when the night began with ~450. The night was so much fun, I saw a lot of faces that I haven't seen for months due to my non stop traveling for work.

The lovley Ji and Stacy

Haven't seen Stacy for over a year since she's been back in Cleveland.

Ester with her friend with my big brother's love Helen in the background with uncle Ted my Pledge Educator. Mad love for you Ted.

Arizona

Just got back from Arizona from a network conference dealing with object oriented programing, network security, "new" products that are going to be on the market within the next 4 months, but the irony is that they are already out in Asia...?! WTF...............Sat around in my hotel room and got drunk off a bottle of Dom and chatted with my girlfriend for a bit (miss you love), took a nice shower, checking on the latest updates on NCAA basketball tourny......apparently my co-worker told me I missed out on a lot, Lucient guys offered to take us out and show us around, I passed cause I wasn't in the mood and this coming monday I'm taking half of Keith's team which he doesn't know too much about yet. I can't really look at my good friend from work the same again because he's married and some of the fucked up shit he told me that went down this weekend is not something I agree with. Damn all I gotta say is peeps let loose when they go on these conferences and conventions, but as they say different area code, your free to do whatever you want...... Not my style, but I can't judge others for shit I have no say in.

Flew back to columbus and on the way back there was a bit of turbulence and flew through a storm. Glad I'm still in one piece, and now I'm just sitting back chillin, hangin, and doing my thing which is wasting some time watching a movie ( Just Friends) and playing some WoW later to help me go to bed....... Good luck on finals and have a great & safe spring break.
